Philosophy

Wendy O’Donovan Phillips has a passion for teaching dentists how to deploy foolproof marketing plans in order to safeguard their practices. Her philosophy is that every practice is as unique as a fingerprint and that each practice’s marketing strategy should match their one-of-a-kind patient base, culture and vision. She believes that at any given time, there are only 5-10 marketing tactics that are appropriate for each practice to deploy. She teaches dentists her formula for uncovering just what those tactics are and how best to put them in motion for each of their practices. She believes that true marketing yields the highest return on investment with the lowest effort exerted.

Bio

Most dentists feel sick when they think about marketing: overwhelmed, confused or apathetic. Wendy has the cure. She shines a light on how to foolproof marketing in order to safeguard the practice for years to come. She delivers insightful, easy-to-understand courses for dentists and teams. She educates and excites audiences about best practices in brand and website development, online marketing and social media, as well as traditional and internal marketing strategies. Wendy’s presentations include key takeaways that attendees can implement on their own. Attendees can look forward to fun, energetic courses that hold their attention, spark their interest, and shift their mindset into easily making marketing a top priority and implementing solutions that pay off.

Wendy founded her marketing agency, Big Buzz, to provide private dentistry practices nationwide with marketing backed by real research. Her book, KABOOM!: The Method Used By Top Dentists for Explosive Marketing Results helps dentists build thriving practices with marketing backed by real methodology.

Her work has been published in The Hollywood Reporter, The Washington Times, Denver Business Journal, AGDImpact, Journal of the Colorado Dental Association, TroDent, Hawaii Dental Association Journal, American Association of Dental Office Managers Observer, and Metro Denver Dental Society Articulator, among other publications. She has been recognized by The American Marketing Association and The Colorado Association of Black Journalists for excellence in writing. She is an active member of the National Speakers Association Colorado and has been inducted into the California Dental Association’s Speakers Bureau and the Seattle Study Club Speakers Bureau. In 2016, she acted as an expert marketing consultant to the American Dental Association.
